I’ve dedicated over 30 years to the care industry, and I’ve always believed that everyone deserves to be happy and live with dignity. I founded JMA in 2018 to create a place where residents truly thrive. Here, I get to facilitate happiness and high-quality care every single day! I get to facilitate both those things!
The JMA Story: A Legacy of Care
JMA was born out of a deeply personal mission. After the passing of her grandmother, Sophia felt a profound calling to change how we care for our seniors and those in need of supportive housing. To honor the woman who inspired her, Sophia named the business JMA, after her grandmother: Johnnie Mae Ashley.
With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Sophia took a leap of faith to establish JMA in 2018. What began as a tribute to her grandmother’s memory has grown into a successful, heart-led community. To ensure a lasting foundation for this mission, the business was officially incorporated as an LLC on April 30, 2022. Today, JMA stands as a premier solution for adult housing, providing the dignity, respect, and personalized attention that Johnnie Mae Ashley inspired.
